RATA kids.

Did you know that a 2005 Christchurch College of Education study revealed only 4% of 424 New Zealand primary school children could successfully perform 12 fundamental movement skills such as hopping, skipping, jumping, kicking, catching and throwing a ball?

Development of motor skills is important for your child to assist with confidence and peer interaction at school, emotional development and general wellbeing.

RATA Kids is run by an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Speech and Language Therapist providing assistance to children that are having difficulty achieving their physical and academic milestones.

We aim to assist your child to be ready for school by covering the following areas:

  • Gross Motor Skills
  • Fine Motor Skills
  • Balance and co-ordination
  • Spatial awareness (where they are in space)
  • Memory
  • Communication

enabling your children to participate in school, play and self care.
